Managing Gmail access and stored data

Help with managing your Gmail access. This guide supplements the app privacy policy.

Pause access on this device

In Blizn, open Settings → Accounts, select the Gmail account concerned and pause it. Mail already stored on your device is retained. Pausing does not revoke Google’s authorisation or delete data.

Revoke Google’s authorisation

Open Connections in your Google account. First check which Google account is selected. Choose Blizn and remove its access. This may affect other Blizn sign-ins for the same Google account. Your messages at Gmail are not deleted. Mail already stored locally is not removed either; an active session may recognise the revocation only when the next access attempt fails.

Sign in again

In Blizn, open Settings → Accounts → your Gmail account → Sign in with Google again. Use the same account address and confirm sign-in directly with Google. You do not need to remove the account to sign in again. You sign in separately on other Mac, iPhone and iPad devices. For “Gmail direct”, access can be transferred from the iPhone to the paired Apple Watch after explicit authorisation; it is stored there in a separate local keychain.

Remove an account and its local data

Open Settings → Accounts, select the account and read the confirmation dialogue for Remove account. Removing it may cause local messages and drafts for that account to be lost. Back up any content you still need that exists only locally beforehand. Removing the account does not delete messages at your mail provider.

Blizn removes the associated local mail data, downloaded attachments and local credentials. App-managed recovery points are cleaned up. If cleanup fails, it remains recorded as outstanding; use the retry option offered in account settings. Operating system backups, file-system snapshots, files you exported yourself and copies held by recipients are not covered by this function. Check those copies separately.

Optional iCloud configuration

Under Settings → iCloud & Devices, you can switch off future configuration sync. This does not delete existing cloud copies. Remove from all devices removes the account from the shared configuration and pauses it on connected devices; local mail and messages at the provider are retained. This is not a command to delete all local data on every device.

Templates, signatures, rules, search folders and earlier synchronised versions you created may also contain data you inserted. Manage them separately. To make a complete request concerning support or feedback data held by Wallet-X, write to info@wallet-x.de. Do not send passwords, security codes or OAuth tokens.

Draft versions stored at the provider

If you enabled optional draft sync, versions already transferred, including content and attachments, remain stored at the mail provider. Switching sync off or removing the local account does not delete those versions. If needed, manage them separately in your Gmail mailbox. Earlier versions may appear as additional drafts.

Gmail on Apple Watch

Pausing or removing an account on the iPhone does not fully remove independent Gmail access already configured on the Watch. Also remove it in the Watch settings. Message text already stored on the Watch is retained; a complete data cleanup must also take the Watch and its separate connection stores into account. Revoking access in your Google account stops future authorised access but does not delete previously stored Watch copies.

If you operate your own mail service for the Watch, also manage its credentials, action store and, where applicable, OAuth state on the server. Further details are available in the app privacy policy.
