Hosting with IONOS

The public website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. When serving the site, the hosting provider necessarily receives, in particular, your IP address, the time, the requested page or file and, where applicable, browser, operating-system and referrer information. This serves the provision, security and stability of the website. To the extent that Wallet-X is responsible for this processing, its legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is a functioning and secure website.

According to the current IONOS service description for hosting products including WordPress Hosting, log files are stored for no more than 7 days. The IP address is technically required to deliver the website. A data processing agreement is in place with IONOS. According to the IONOS information on WebAnalytics, tracking and logging are enabled by default. WebAnalytics generates statistical evaluations of page and file requests, referrers, browsers, devices and times from log files or a pixel. According to the provider, the IP address initially transmitted is anonymised immediately; the service does not use cookies. Our static website code does not include a WebAnalytics pixel. This analysis serves technical optimisation on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The retention period for access logs is not a promised deletion period for all derived statistics.

Cookies, fonts and embedded content

The website code sets no cookies and uses neither Local Storage nor Session Storage. Fonts come from the operating system; app images, stylesheets and JavaScript are served from the same webspace. There is no contact form, embedded video, advertising pixel or external analytics script. Image selection and the enlarged image view do not retain a selection beyond the current page visit.

This statement concerns the website code. Any statistics generated by the hosting provider from access logs must be considered separately in the hosting section.

Contact by email

An email link opens your mail app; a message is sent only when you submit it. If you contact us, we process your email address, message and any attachments you voluntarily provide in order to reply. The support mailbox info@wallet-x.de is hosted by IONOS. Within Wallet-X, Martin Bergmann has access.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for enquiries about app use, and otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our interest in handling incoming requests. Statutory retention obligations are based on Article 6(1)(c) GDPR. Ordinary support enquiries are generally deleted six months after final handling. Documents required by law or needed for legal claims are retained only to the extent and for the period necessary in each case.
